Greetings, 4th and 5th Grade Challenge Center Parents!

The Farm to Table interim is right around the corner! We are excited to begin learning about the different aspects of food distribution in our community. In connection to the interim, the fourth and fifth grade classrooms will be hosting a food drive to support local families in need. Attached to this email, you will find a flier that outlines the types of foods that can be donated next week. Feel free to send your donations at any time through the week of May 7 through May 11.

Thank you, in advance, for your support!
Enjoy the day,

Farm to Table Interim
Food Drive
The collection will take place May 7-11!
As part of our Farm to Table Interim, we will be having a speaker from Feed South Dakota presenting to our 4th and 5th grade students explaining how their organization helps Sioux Falls families in need. If you would like to help, please consider donating the food items below:
Peanut Butter & Jelly, Cereal, Boxed Meals (i.e. Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper), Pasta and Rice, Canned fruits, Canned vegetables and Canned meat
These items will be distributed through an organization called Food to You: Mobile Food Pantry. Below is a little about what this organization does each week during the month. Check out their website: www.mobilefoodpantry.org The first four Thursdays of each month the Mobile Food Pantry, an outreach of Charis Ministry Partners, provides grocery distribution at four sites. Individuals and families can use the Mobile Food Pantry once each month to receive groceries and personal hygiene item for their household. The items people receive (produce, bread, eggs, pastries, and the “food of the month”) help fill the gaps between what welfare assistance programs provide and what people actually need each month.
